Curriculum

The Time to Act – Time to React curriculum was developed by DPI and is financially supported by the WEA Trust (a not-for-profit group health insurer that insures many Wisconsin public school employees).

This curriculum is a tool teachers can use to teach students how to identify and stop bullying when it happens. It is based on the latest research and includes CDs. The CDs show techniques for teaching the curriculum.

Time to Act is designed for elementary students in Grades 3 through 5.

Time to React is designed for middle school students grades 6 through 8.

The curriculum is voluntary in Wisconsin public schools and is free to every public grade school and public middle school due to the financial support of the WEA Trust.

Other schools and programs wishing to use the curriculum must pay the full cost of the program.

Safe and Respectful Schools is an anti-bullying program of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and sponsored by the WEA Trust, a not-for-profit insurance organization created by public school employees, for school employees.
